How the house keeps your record.

A plain account of what The Atelier knows about you, where it is kept, who else sees it, and how it is struck.

What is kept

When you sign in with Google or Apple, the house learns the name and email address on that account, and an identifier for it. That is how your room is found again on every device.

Everything you set down in the house is your record: the day's tasks and blocks, the ritual, the week and its debrief, the journal, the repository and its volumes, your settings and the seals on your days. The record is kept so that it is there when you return.

If you join a calendar, the house keeps a key that lets it read and write that calendar on your behalf, and nothing else from that account. If you join a sleep source — an Eight Sleep pod or an Oura ring — the house keeps the key you give it and reads last night's sleep to lay your day. You may leave either at any time from Connectors, and the key is struck when you do.

Where it is kept

Your record lives on your own device first, and is mirrored to the house's vault — a database hosted by Supabase — under your own identity, so that a second device finds it. The house's own service runs on Cloudflare. The connection is encrypted throughout.

Who else sees it

No one is sold anything, and nothing is used to advertise to you. The house shows no advertisements and does not track you across other apps or sites.

When you ask the clerk — the Preceptor, the Concierge, a folded line — the words you give it and the parts of your record needed to answer are sent to Anthropic, which provides the model, to produce the answer. They are not used to train it. Nothing is sent to the clerk that you did not ask about.

Invitations you send carry your name and the address you send them to, so that the person invited knows who spent theirs on them.

How it is struck

You may download the whole of your record at any time from Connectors — every page, one file. You may also leave the house from the same place: every record kept under your name is struck from the vault, and your account with it. This cannot be undone, and there is no way back but a new invitation.

You may also write to the proprietor and ask, and it will be done by hand.

Children

The Atelier is not made for, or offered to, anyone under thirteen.
